@Fred Pahlke No. Clearly not all Yellows have bad paint. What is the production run period for these cars? It seems that even most of the Nov and Dec 2017 cars are okay. Something happened during that time to ruin some paint jobs. But most of the cars made even during that suspicious period seem fine.
I repeat, if I had a pristine Yellow I would not be getting it repainted, if, after several to many months it had not shown any signs of chipping/flaking. I'd act as though my universe does not have any failing paint and ignore all this angst going on: it doesn't concern me. Why would a pristine Yellow be any different than any of the other colors that are fine? It doesn't make any sense to assert that "all Yellows are time bombs". There isn't any evidence for that. A Yellow that failed did so early, even from the getgo. That Yellow I saw back in March, that was returned last week, was PRISTINE. It was not in any way compromised. In fact, for a car with half worn out tires, the paint looked showroom mint condition.
