Hey guys,

BMS is excited to be part of the Kia Stinger forum! We'll be sure to check in here regularly to provide tech support, post about new JB4 features, and information, as we have it! :)

I was part of the initial group of JB4's and still loving it. Can't wait to see future updates!

Hi Terry glad to see you on board, what sort of power increase can we see out of the JB4 ? And any exciting extras coming likes E85 tunes? I had it set up on my 335i and the power seemed to be inconsistent on map 1 / 2. Some days it felt quick while other days it seemed to lag.
It improved once I had BEF supplied by Trebila.

Have any improvements been made to make the power more consistent ?

And thank you for the great work and support you do

Just getting started with the platform but here is a customer provided dyno showing some of the tuning potential. We have customers testing E85 maps now. And we've got some additional things under development.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Very cool! Will you still be testing a version for the 2.0 motor? :)

Absolutely. We only have access to a 3.3L test car at the moment. One of our employees was going to get a 2L but he decided to wait for the Genesis G70 3.3L, lol. We've shipped a few out to 2L and reviewed the data, and as long as the plugs are swapped on the 2L all is good. But no dynos yet.

Appreciate the info!

Some photos of our new Kia Stinger development car. Ended up getting a base GT model, $39,500 sticker price that they rebated down to $33,000. Surprised how many options you get too on a base car!

Anyway now the fun really begins!

Great to hear Terry, do you think it will be more consistant than the 335i JB4 ?

Like I said in previous post the power was up and down some days which would do my head in at times o_O until I got the BEF (back end flash) and custom tune then it did improve

I'm already talking to someone about a potential BEF / custom tune to go with your JB4 :);) I plan to purchase your unit in coming weeks. I pick up my Stinger GT 3.3 next week

Thanks !!!

Just bought the JB4 for my GT2. Have a traffic attorney on retainer... Now, tell me what spark plugs to buy, pretty please?

Denso 5346s and gap them to 0.022". The electrodes are thick so gapping them in a bit tricky. I'll post a how-to-gap video next week. :)

Terry, lmk how those idle. I put in a set of brisk Silver core racing plugs and they idled with a bit of an intermittent miss. Put in a set of new OEMs gapped down and they were fine. one item to note is the oems use and Extended projected tip design vs just the projected tip in the brisks. I see those Denso are also just projected tip, not extended. I've noticed on DI motors tip projection makes a significant difference in idle quality.

Idles perfect so far. I posted a side by side photo in the plug thread, definitely less protruding than stock, as you'd expect with a generally colder plug rating.

Just got my JB4 in the mail. Don't know if I have the patience to find a mechanic to help me with this or just going to try it myself. However, I haven't gotten the spark plugs yet... are they needed so I won't damage anything, or just highly recommended for performance?

You don't need to replace the plugs but you do need to run a smaller gap. So to save some money you can simply pull the stock plugs and re-gap them to .025 or so.
