I was cleaning the car, and I went to clean under the wipers bc there was stuff underneath it. So I lifted the wiper and it didn’t go straight up, it kind of stopped but I couldn’t get to the dirt, it kind of took a little pressure, so I lifted it all the way up, and I guess it’s not suppose to? Bc when I put it back down there was a scratch/chip. It’s not big, but I notice it so.
What can I do? Will it rust? (Not a car guy whatsoever) Should I take it to the dealer?

Plus there’s another small little dent by the rear passenger door, that might’ve come from a small rock or something. I’ll post pictures later. Need your advice. Thank you. Hope this is the place to post this. Sorry if it isn’t.

For the chip on the hood, get some color matched touch-up paint from the dealer and cover it up. Don't leave the metal exposed so corrosion can start. When putting on the touch-up paint, don't try and fill the in chip all at one time - put a light layer on, let it dry, and repeat until you've built the paint up to the surface level of the paint surrounding it. Patience is key.

As for what caused the damage in the first place, the wipers have have an upright 'park' position that is used for for cleaning and service. Have a look in the manual, it describes how to do do that.

Oh ok. I’ll do that then. Thank you.
