With the recently announced 2018 Buick Regal Sportback, and its respective specifications, I am starting to believe that the initial specs for the cargo capacity of the Stinger are "off". Its either the method used to "measure" varies wildly from manufacturer to manufacturer or the number was just plain incorrect.
Buick Regal Sportback
192.9″ L x 73.3″ W x 57.3″ H
WB: 111.4″
Cargo Capacity: 31.5 ft^3
Stinger GT
190″ L x 73.6″ W x 55.1″ H
WB: 114.4″
Cargo Capacity: 14.3 ft^3
So its 17.2 ft^3 larger?
This has to be a measurement method issue.
So I went to a newly released Hyundai / Kia sedan to look at cargo capacity specs for a frame of reference (with the assumption that they would be measured in the same manner).
Stinger GT
190″ L x 73.6″ W x 55.1″ H
WB: 114.4″
Legroom: 42.6" / 36.4"
Cargo Capacity: 14.3 ft^3
Hyundai Elantra Sport
180″ L x 71″ W x 57″ H
WB: 106.3″
Legroom: 42.2" / 35.7"
Cargo Capacity:14.4 ft^3
So, uh, the Elantra Sport has 0.1 ft^3 MORE cargo capacity?
