What are the different ways to configure the HUD?
What info can it display?
Is it worthwhile or more of a distraction?

Don't have a manual.Too long to explain it’s in the manual.
The HUD is awesome. It's not a distraction at all as it is right there in front of you on the windshield. There are a number of ways to configure it as to what gets displayed. Very nice. What are the different ways to configure the HUD?

Except when wearing polarised sunglasses, then you can see nowt.
Great feature but even after 3 months I still keep looking down at the speedo!
Thanks for the tip, will try that tomorrow.I have polarized glasses and see it with no problem. It has reported by others that if you "rotate" the HUD in the menu, it will change the polarization angle and you can see it.
Amazing feature and very worthwhile! Helpful in so many ways, and I never thought I’d be lucky enough to own a car with one. What are the different ways to configure the HUD?

This should only happen with a lcd display and polarised glasses. HUD is Stinger looks as if it’s LED.I have polarized glasses and see it with no problem. It has reported by others that if you "rotate" the HUD in the menu, it will change the polarization angle and you can see it.

Ok, tilting my head worked but not really a practicable solution. As mentioned in my previous post, this is not a problem with my polarized glasses, but has been reported as a solution by other owners. Doesn't cost anything to try it.

You sure your glasses are polarized...? You really shouldn't be able to see the HUD (at least very well) with polarized glasses. It's a physical property of how light reflection works. The idea behind polarization is you can't see light (easily) that's been refracted (to reduce glare), which is how HUDs work.As mentioned in my previous post, this is not a problem with my polarized glasses, but has been reported as a solution by other owners. I ended up getting a good pair of non-polarized sunglasses to solve this issue. I use my polarized for outdoor activities/trips and keep the non-polarized pair in my car. They still work well as sunglasses, so it's not an issue anymore for me.Ok, tilting my head worked but not really a practicable solution.
HUD angle not sufficient to make a difference.
Turning brightness up to 20 did work but when I took my sunglasses off seared my retinas.
Back to old school of looking at the dashboard ...
