Just did an oil change on my 2019 Kia Stinger GT2 @ 43k miles and one of the technicians pointed out I had a rear main seal leak.

So far it doesn’t seem serious, yet. Just some oil seepage.

My question is this, I haven’t done the turbo line recall as of yet. Is it possible the oil is somehow getting on the rear seal?

If not, casually searching on this forum points out that this is a somewhat common issue.

What’s the chance of Kia fixing this outside of warranty?

If it's out of warranty, there's zero chance they fix it, unless you pay them a lot. It's engine out job. Clean the area, to make sure it's actually a main seal. If it is, keep an eye on your oil level, and start preparing for a major bill. But, if they drop the engine for recall ( some people reported that), they might do it for a lot less. Talk to your dealer about that.

Definitely something I should look into. Thanks for that tip I’ll look into it.
