Question about Eco-mode and RaceChip

okay, i am curious about something. i am interested in getting the racechip, more power. , but, as it says on the site, it offers 3 levels of performace, eco, sport and race. my question, if i am running the car in eco mode and call up race mode on the racechip, which takes preference? i am sure i am not the only noodlehead here. if i am, then i want to be known as supreme ruler, king noodlehead. or you can call me chef noodehead. or just noodle.

The Racechip is not linked to the Stinger Drive Modes at all. So if you have the Stinger in Eco and the Racechip in Race Mode every device will run its own settings resulting in Racechip full throttle performance downgraded by the Stinger eco settings. So you basically have two independent layers of selectable performance.

Good explanation. They are independent from each other. You can still use the driving modes of your Stinger when you have a RaceChip.

However, the RaceChip does not really influence the throttle response time. It "just" increases power and torque (which of course makes acceleration much faster and makes the car feel more responsive). For better throttle response we developed the XLR (not available yet). It works well in combination with the RaceChip performance upgrade.

The driving modes of your Stinger do not really change the power. They just change the throttle response and other factors. E.g. in the Eco mode your car will shift earlier for lower average rpms.

--> Stinger Eco Mode in combination with a RaceChip makes sense, because the higher torque will help the car to save fuel (if you are not racing)
--> Stinger Eco Mode in combination with XLR Race Mode does not make sense, because they change the same things (throttle response) in the opposite direction. It does not harm your car, it just does not make sense...
