Thanks! I'm still suspicious of the sunroofs. There was already another Stinger with the same sunroof problem waiting to get fixed after mine. It seems to be an odd coincidence that the same issue keeps showing up on different Stingers.Howdy and welcome to your nightmare, too (this is a day for intros that are horror stories). I wouldn't take the payments if that means giving up warranty claims on this job.
And no, the Stinger does not have issues with the sunroof. Individual vehicles have issues. Sorry yours is one of them, but hopefully everything will be perfect when this is done.![]()
Update: I finally got it back a little over a month after bringing it in. Kia service guy was super apologetic and said they are now getting grief from Kia corp over what they had to pay the body shop to do the job.
There is no way in hell I am signing the corporate release as it includes a sec 1542 waiver to release Kia of ANY and ALL future issues known or UNKNOWN problems with the car. It leaves the warranty in place, but tries to wash their hands otherwise. Not worth two car payments for the unknowns. I told them it wasn't reasonable. I'm ok with settling the sunroof issue release, but it shouldn't touch any other aspects of the car.
