Yeah I just picked it up myself. I’m not planning on tracking my car but definitely see how this can be a good addition to the overall longevity and reliability of the vehicle.I plan to pick it up in the next few months. it’s realistically only needed if you plan to track the car though.
They have one and I think Lap3 has one too. I have the BMS, just haven't installed yet.Anyone running the bms transmission cooler kit? Highly considering it for the fact that it extends the life of the trans, provides cooling, and better performance.
the factory trans cooler is awful for anything other than street driving. for track driving its just not good enough for extended sessions/back to back runs. Even on the street, if you do back to back pulls the temp soars.Stinger already has trans cooler from the factory. And i just don't believe "bigger is better" mentality, at least when it comes to cars.![]()
I just like the peace of mind with it than without it especially since I spirit drive alot.Stinger already has trans cooler from the factory. And i just don't believe "bigger is better" mentality, at least when it comes to cars.![]()
It's cheap insurance.I just like the peace of mind with it than without it especially since I spirit drive alot.
I wonder how the bms one stacks up against the lap3 ? Any pros or cons over the other or essentially they both just do the same thing. It's cheap insurance.
I looked on the lap3 site earlier, I only saw an adapter for a generic trans cooler, not a full system like the BMS one. Both BMS and LAP3 do have an engine oil cooler thoughI wonder how the bms one stacks up against the lap3 ? Any pros or cons over the other or essentially they both just do the same thing.
SHIFT!!!On my list for this summer, the footwell area gets HOT during long drives. It can't be good for the trans to get so hot to where it cooks your feet.
This is the engine cooler you were referring to ? I didn’t see one for bms or lap3. Could you run both the bms trans cooler and this engine oil cooler with secondary radiator ?I looked on the lap3 site earlier, I only saw an adapter for a generic trans cooler, not a full system like the BMS one. I don't think there will be much difference, but maybe someone that has tested both can chime in.I wonder how the bms one stacks up against the lap3 ? Any pros or cons over the other or essentially they both just do the same thing.
Could always go the route of @AWDGT2 and build your own as well hahaI don't think there will be much difference, but maybe someone that has tested both can chime in.
Damn that’s dope bro. Definitely will be on the lookout for that installation video. They all will perform well and keep the Transmission cooler than a stock one. The next level is including a fan, none of the aforementioned ones have fans as far as I know, except the Derale one that I bought. The only additional step to that is a fan controller to kick on at whatever desired temp you want. I'm going to wire mine this spring and video it as the last installment video for the Stinger cooler upgrade.
