It would be awesome to see the JB4 mobile app updated to support these platforms. Imagine being able to see your gauges on your car's display. Has this been considered before? What does everybody think of this?

Its been considered before and has had multiple posts about it. There are ways of doing it already on both android auto and carplay but they either require you to install non google certified apps or have a jailbroken iphone. then their is the alternate method which is buying an android box that is an actual OS that works through the carplay protocol, and then install the apps on there. Thats what I did, but the one I bought ended up being not very powerful and would crash if I tried to run anything for more than 5 minutes at a time.It would be awesome to see the JB4 mobile app updated to support these platforms. there is. Google has become extremely apple like when it comes to locking down android auto in the past two years or so. safety while driving is obviously the reason, but compared to the original version of AA, you cant just inject an app like you used to be able to unfortunately.I did consider running the android box on the car., they just have to certify the app and use a few options to get it running. However I'm no developer, wish I was. I'm sure there is more to it..
