Bad still not fixed

why are these stingers built so bad i have a 2022 ,rattle noise been to shop once already and still makes the rattle
Howdy, "the" rattle noise? That's it? Most are easily managed and eradicated. I'd like to see any one of us put together a modern car and have every single one of tens of thousands of them wind up extraneous noise free. My car is close to perfect, but probably makes some noise that doesn't register: after all, I drove used vehicles (some close to junker status) my whole life until this car, my only brand-new car thus far. The only noise I hear is from the Eibach front sway bar I put in back in August '19, and then only at slow speeds.

The Stinger, like all modern Kia vehicles, is put together very well. It wouldn't keep scoring high marks otherwise.

not impressed. i was told they "fixed the trunk rattle". it rattles worse than before.
they have to order a new motor for the back window for a brand new car that only has 4k miles on it. which means i will have to take the car back.
the child window lock, i was told was "fixed". my dumbass figured out it was never broken-they didnt know how it worked and i figured it out this weekend, the driver still can control back windows even if the child lock button is pressed-duh, im not the sharpest..
the auto start stop i was told isnt working because its not meeting the required outside conditions.
which i think is bs, because when i first got the car it auto start stopped waaay too much;
hate it anyway, glad it doesnt work. checking on the work that was supposed to be done thru my dash cams, i honestly didnt see them work on anything.
one guy i saw tugging and pulling up and down on the hatchback lid to see if something was loose,
then one guy took it for a 20 minute drive and sat in a parking lot for 10 minutes.
i took it in at 7am and it sat in a parking lot until 11:30am.
paying this much for a car, it disgust me that i have to live with the hatchback rattle.
its so f#cking annoying. too many bad experiences with dealerships and their service centers.
first time searching this issue on my 2022 as it absolutely drives me crazy-- i searched 'rear compartment rattle' and found your thread--
have had THREE flat tires driving this car and thought something was loose in the spare tire compartment--moved the styrofoam insert to the back seat--tightened the screw on the spare...and yep still there--will work on some of these options--
already looked to trade it in --

I fixed the rattle most ridiculous thing ever , I put 2 thicker washers on there so called fix and electrical tape between the bolts on the outside this is absurd but it works for now

How's this for issues the yellow A starts flashing after 10 minutes of driving. Cruise control won't engage once in a while it will say conditions aren't met. Had at the dealer 8 business days. They have the problems in tech support waiting for an answer, and now I can't tilt my steering wheel but it will extend and retract. ISG manual says if flashing bring to service.

The tilt steering should be a simple fix...

The Mando branded tilt and telescopic systems are usually quite reliable.

Was this vehicle in a collision? (Or built on a Friday night shift?)

It was working when I bought it, after the 9 days they gave it back to me and that's when it stopped working. It is a 2020 Gt2 Awd I bought it used. Why do you ask if it was in an accident? I'm sure the tilt can be fixed.

Just the unusual qty of issues you are having seems rare.

The adaptive cruise control not working, the ISG not working, the tilt steering not working.

These are not typical issues for this car.

ISG issues are usually due to a misunderstanding of how the system works, but yours is a system malfunction.

i believe you have the first reported case of the tilt steering failure.

It did have a minor accident according to Car Fax. There was Front passenger side facia repair. Dealer replaced radar that took care of some issues. But still cruise no go.

Sounds like the “minor” accident was worse than reported, thus the issues.

my car does the same stuff horrible took into service again last week and it got hit by another car while it was parked in there garage , everything about kia from car to service is low rent garbage

Yes, noises. But, how does it drive? "Stalling engine", what is that about?

That's ridiculous.. they shouldn't continue to sell a car that's doing this that's on kia should be a class action suit

It happens! and it sucks but it can occur anywhere. Not saying it's acceptable for ANY brand but it isn't single brand specific... . coworkers audi new audi had bad squeaks and rattles and electrical issues. just search s5 sportback trunk rattle.. but he loved the car and how it drove.. traded it in on another audi which has been flawless other than squeaks around the pillarless windows(which can't really be helped) Now has a subaru as what he enjoys doing required something he didn't mind getting dirty.

a lot of the trunk noise IS a design issue where a huge opening introduces areas for movement that wouldn't there in a smaller opening, also the hatch is so much heavier than just a trunk that it will make more noise but it isn't just kia that struggles with it. BMW i'll say did it betterwith the gran coupe hatch as most of those have been very solid(lots of research as that was the car we were going to get) however those suffer a lot from cockpit/dash creaks and rattles. Also every bmw 4series gran coupe we test drove had creaky door cards... that was just a no go.

I had a trunk lid noise at 5k miles or so , put the washers on and adjusted the stop, hasn't made a sound in 17k miles since. The velcro like sound at like 3k miles, pushed up on the headliner and something popped into place and not a peep since then either. The car is overall so much quieter than my coworkers s5 sportback.

Definitely make kia resolve the stalling issue/ trade it in for something else.. But crap can come out of any automanufacturer...

Im gonna agree with @vipeboy2000 on that crap flows from every maker. But that being said, how bad are the issues? What year? Stuff makes noise over time nature of the beast. I understand the frustration with what you listed but is it stuff from normal abuse? Wind noise from the roof? Assuming that you have a sunroof how quiet do you expect it to be? Its like saying that you hear the rain hitting the car to me. Option you wanted? Trunk noise, yea we all deal with that at some point. Super easy fix. Car noise, maybe its the tires? Some are louder that others it happens. As for the stalling, yea thats a legit bitch all day. And ot most definitely sux with your dealer incident. But if all your Kia experiences have been garbage why did you buy? Wouldn't you have noticed how crappy your dealer was when you were shopping? Maybe find another dealer you may find a better experience and service dept willing to listen.

I just had my 2019 GTS in because no cruise and that stupid idle crap yellow @ light flashing. They said it was a break switch well didn't get a mile from dealership cruise still don't work and the light still blinks. I love my Federation Orange Stinger but a Lexus IS 350F sport sounds really comfortable at the moment

Did you buy the car used? If so there might a brake snip on the car. Look on the ECU connectors for a switch. Had this happen to me and that was the issue.

Welcome.

Interesting avatar pic: do you still have the yellow?

I did buy it used but it only had 12k miles. The dealership replaced the brake switch and like a half mile from shop it started blinking again. This happens anytime I drive and have to stop a couple times at light and will only stop blinking by turning off the car. Even if I turn it off right when I start car. I don't lose performance or anything that damn blnking light is just annoying. The cruise control also doesn't work it turns on but won't set. I normally don't use cruise control but with this car I find myself cruising along and look at my speedometer and I'm slightly speeding like 110mph in a 70 on longer road trips
