Best way to get a wire through the firewall?

I have a GFB Deceptor Pro that I need to pull the control wire though the firewall but really cant see anything other than the heater core lines. Is there a better spot?

Right behind the break peddle is a rubber boot that I pushed a copper wire/rod through bent at an angle so it went up. Copper is about 2.5 ft long. I hooked the end back on itself and tied my wire to it. Pushed it up about 90% of the way from inside the car and then reached in the engine bay to pull it the rest of the way up.

Read the JB4 threads. We have to go through the same place floridaman mentioned. It was pretty easy for me as I could reach my hand down by the ECU and grab the end I poked thru from the drivers side. Cheers

I think I can see it, comes out under the master cylinder.
