How long did your tires last?

I have around 16 000km (10 000miles) on my OEM PS4 and my rears 255/35 are at 2/32nd (rolling directly on the marker). My fronts 225/40 are at 5-6/32nd. I still have 3 months left before putting on Snow shoes...

I drove 2 winters (20 000km/12 500miles) with my Toyo Observe GSI-6HP tires (225/45/18 squared) and they still have 8-9/32nd left.

Next spring, I'll be buying new summer tires and I'm expecting a little bit more life out of 'em than 10K miles, as my rear PS4's...

I'm still at the first set of stock Continentals with 40100 km right now, and whenever I floor the car from about 5 km/h, it spins the tires so much for so long with the 2.0 engine. It's time to replace them, I guess.

The falkens tested well based on what test reports I found on them. A lot user reviews were negative mainly with cars that generated a little more power than your avg car Civic..Accord etc etc .Happy they're working out for you, keep us posted cause they're a very well priced tire out here in the states

26,000km out of the Continentals.
On ps4's now i found these corner and easier turning theres a lighter feel. The contis in my view were generally a smoother ride, perhaps they are a softer compound? Im hoping to get better longevity out of the PS4'S.

The Falken FK510 are a good all round performance tyre for day to day use, they provide good grip, confidence when pushing into corners, they are quiet & have good wear life with the added bonus of price advantage over some of the other “preferred” brands.
A tyre that provides excellent grip in all conditions will generally have a short life.
For normal road use where the surface conditions are constantly changing I feel the Falken FK510 provide the perfect balance to meet the conditions of day to day driving.

All season performance tires are often a good choice. I have had good luck with BF Goodrich Comp 2 AS on a Corvette and even put a set on my wife's old MB E350 sedan. They last and handle very well. I am not sure they are the quietest choice though, but they are not bad imo. I have not tried them out on our Stinger because it is not due for tires yet, but will consider them when the time comes. I will even consider them for our SL400 when it is due for tires as well.

I'm not expecting to get more than 10K out of my Michelin Primacy Tour AS. Even being a brand new car and rotations side to side every 2K, i doubt the 40K mile warranty is anywhere close to reality on these cars.
I just put new tires on my car today, I got 55,642 miles out of the factory 19” Primacy tours. They’re very expensive but I drive about 1,000 miles a week and have never had a set of tires especially ones you can’t properly rotate last that long and wear so even. I could’ve easily gotten another 1k miles out if them.

My rear factory Michelins are at the wear markers at 24K miles but the fronts have about 5 sixteenths left I would guess. I am thinking about replacing the rears with another set of Michelin Pilots and then moving to all seasons after these wear out. Hopefully, the four will all be gone at about the same time.

I recently had both tires on the left of my 22 AWD GT2 get destroyed. Don't ask! Had no OEM Primacys in the state and didn't want to wait to get them. With only 3200 miles on the car, needing a 225/40/R19 and a 255/35/R19 I either had to wait or replace all 4. Based on some research and this forum, I am getting a set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4s and now have 1 each of the OEM tires with at least another 25K of tread left on them. Any takers at $150 each OBO? 1 each of 225/40/R19 Michelin Primacy A/S 93W XL and 255/35/R19 Michelin Primacy A/S 96W XL.

Did you run your car on a skid pad until the outer edges were worn off? ;) Welcome.

Just ordered rear Michelin PS4S tires and I am at 24,500 miles but I probably should have replaced 500 miles ago as I am living on borrowed time with my driver side rear tire.

Replaced my Michelin Pilots with Nankang NS25, yeah I know, budget line of tires but the top of the line, design taken from highly rated tire company and produced in East Asia, but Stinger is also top of the line car from budget car company, design taken from highly rated car company and produced in East Asian country. VERY HAPPY

I got about 30,000kms out of my OEM Michelin PS4 tires and replaced them with Michelin PS4S tires in the back. Front PS4 OEM tires still have quite a bit of tread remaining.

Tire wear ratings can be very deceiving. I have read that a rating of say 300 from one manufacturer is not necessarily the same as for a different company's rating of 300. Supposedly, you can figure that for the same company, a higher value indicates longer wear, however. You would think there would be industry wide standards.

Tire treadwear ratings are relative to a test tire, not specific to the tire + vehicle (although some tires have been specially developed for certain companies/vehicles). Generally, there can be a lot of variables in use of the tire (ie. the different vehicles it can fit), so it would make sense that a specific would wear differently.

I decided to replace all four even though the fronts still had a lot of tread left. I went with Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4s. We just went to Vegas and back and to me the ride seems a little softer than the stock Pilot Sports and there were no issues with grip in the rain on our return trip. Both wife and I are in our 70s now and no longer drive like maniacs, but we do want tires that respond well to brisk handling when the occasion arises. Also we expect these tires to last a lot longer than the summer performance tires they are replacing. So far, so good and if these pan out as I expect, I will look for a set for my MB SL400 in a few years when its Pilot Sports tires wear out. Coincidentally, the rears on our Stinger GT2 are the same size as the fronts on the SL400.

Most performance tires will last anywhere from 12K miles and 30K miles depending on the treadwear ratings. The softer the tire the shorter the life span. The Pilot Sport 4 have a treadwear rating of 320 and and a tread life warranty of 20K miles, so they expect them to last that long before having to be replaced. The Contisport Contact 5 has a rating of 280 so they are a softer tire and should not last as long.

Psy
My Michelin pilot sports have 26k miles - I am just now needing to replace.

Yeah mine lasted 26k, just now about to replace-

2021 GT AWD, staggered Michelin Primacy Tour AS with 18,000 miles, still plenty of tread left. I'll be pleased if I get anywhere near 50,000 miles like one of the prior posters. No issues thus far with ride quality and traction is fine, no slips the couple times I've used launch control. I was going to pre-emptively replace them 6 months ago thinking they wouldn't make 20,000 miles.
