Sup guys! Decided to upgrade my intercooler and thinking about getting the BMS or the Ultimate Performance. Which one do you prefer?

I'm slightly biased but in my view there is the BMS intercooler, and then there is everything else. ;)

The Ultimate Performance Intercooler is one of the best options available. It offers a top-of-the-line core and a much better surface area than stock.

They are made right here in the USA and of very high quality.

Our customers have been very satisfied with the results from it.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or if you would like a discount on your order. To view the product CLICK HERE.

UP uses Garret cores. Do some investigating and you’ll see most agree that Garrett cores the best.

Their universal cores are only manufactured in certain sizes which is why the UP doesn’t span the full width of the lower grill.

I was hoping to see Garrett put out a Stinger specific replacement aftercooler like they do for Ecoboost’s. Not likely though.

Thanks guys! I’m leaning towards the UP with the upgraded charge pipe.

I'm liking my Wagner kit.

If you are going to spend almost $1000 on an intercooler, spend just a little more and get the Mishimoto. It is THE best intercooler for the Stinger.

Cutting and using a dremel not good on my books.

Mishimoto should be an option in your poll. I know it is crazy expensive but it is far superior because it is a complete system and not just a radiator exchange. A turbo system is only as good as its intercooler. Most people don't realize how influential an intercooler can actually be.

You can sign up to be "sponsored" by Mishimoto and get a 15% discount. I know it is still expensive but the system is actually worth it. They have done the research and have the evidence on their site to prove how good their intercooler really is.

It is easy to make an intercooler look really good especially on a dyno where you can do a single isolated run without any heat soak and the fans are blowing directly on the intercooler. If you are only interested in dyno numbers then probably any intercooler will work. However, for real world racing scenarios a good intercooler system is the single most important factor. You can't always control how long you are going to need to idle at the track or how long the intercooler is going to sit in the direct sunlight. The Mishimoto intercooler is the only one I have seen so far that offers the complete package.

You actually don't need to modify or cut the shroud. For reversibility, just remove it and leave it out. It does not affect flow or performance. In fact a lot of people have installed intake snorkels which makes it necessary to remove the shroud.

I have some 3D printed snorkels from a forum member and I left my shroud out. I can always return it to stock when I want. And there has been no decrease in performance, cooling, or gas mileage of the car from leaving the shroud out.

So now you have no reason not to get the Mishimoto. You're welcome.

Thanks for the info. I think you can always buy a replacement shroud for 60 bucks. I’d get the black Moshimoto. Decisions decisions...

Hurry up on the third stimulus payment already lol.

Why get the black one? Black absorbs heat. When I am waiting in line at the track I want it to reflect heat.

Front looks good. Kinda want to run it without the bottom grille. Don’t want to risk damaging it from something though.
