BMW X5 M 2021 wheels are about 90% similar to the Stinger wheels

If you focus on the design pattern, it's almost the same other than the colour. I'm wondering if they came up with that design for the BMW without knowing that those wheels exist? The first time I saw the BMW I was so confused as I thought it was the same wheels as on the Stinger because mine has those. I'm pretty sure Kia came up with the design years ago as I bought my Stinger a year and a half ago and I have the same wheels if you look at my profile picture. Edit: after googling for a bit, I found out that BMW released their first car with these wheels for their X5 M MY2019. Either way, it's surprising how very similar they are.

BMW has been using a variant of that wheel since at least 2016 when the G30 was released. Considering the minor changes they make throughout the years the design has probably been around for longer than that on their other platforms.
