The New "Kia" Logo

Kia unveiled a new EV concept at the Geneva auto show... which also had a brand new KIA logo!

On this particular concept the logo was also backlit.

Someone with some talent needs to get on with fabricating a version of this logo for our Stingers immediately.

I never was ashamed of the KIA name - but the logo seemed uninspired and generic to me. This , in my opinion, is a massive leap forward.

Not sure...I prefer the K badges that are in the stinger store, they are stylish, classy and still represent Kia.

I like the Kia badge on my Stinger much more than that, but then again , Kia could of and should of made a whole new never seen before Kia or Stinger badge uniquely for the Stinger, like how the Genesis has its unique Genesis badge , and not a Hyundai badge on it , Kia did so great on the Stinger , but cheaped out on what would of made the Stinger a even more standout for owners .

They did it on purpose. KIA is widely recognized. A special Stinger badge would run counter to the campaign to use the Stinger as a game changer: a reputation changer.

I honestly love it. I rebadged the rear of my Stinger but left the front alone ... Honestly a bit out of guilt. I'm proud of buying a Kia but I do really hate that oval badge. Nobody recognizes the alternative "K" logo (that doesn't really look like a K....) And it's personally never resonated with me.

I think the Stinger was the perfect car to roll out a logo like this... They obviously chose a different car to do it. But the time is right to roll out a new logo with a "rebrand" of Kia. Their cars today are a quantum leap beyond what they were even 10 years ago and their marketing should reflect that huge progression.

can you imagine the cost of the change of a logo , in a previous life I ran a global company with hundreds of signed locations ...............we changed the name of the company when we bought a competitor , the cost of new signage , plus all the printed and collatateral materials was HUGE ....................

Read the Car and Driver article in this thread. This wouldn’t be the first time a car company changed a logo. It’s time for the old KIA to go away.

Some say luv the car but hate the brand image (and millions of reasons why they hate the original logo including it's oval it's not square the letters are weird doesn't have a diamond incrustation etc) I say Long live the Original Kia logo! show your pride it's a Kia 5th car maker on planet Earth, with or without the badge will always be a Kia.

There's no confirmation yet on whether the new logo will find its way on all future vehicles or just those w/ some sort of electrification (which would be silly); can always differentiate the hybrids/PHEVs/EVs w/ a different color scheme or a backlight.

Doesn't seem to be the case, but Kia should really have the new logo when they launch the USDM K5 and Sorento, followed by the F/L Stinger.
