I was hoping there would be enough space that I can use LED strip without drilling any holes. The center section of the tail light is attached with 3 nuts on each side and is easily removed. Pull it out, drill some holes for LEDs, run wires to brake lights, done. It will either look good, or will leak like crazy and cause electrical issues, all depends on your skill set.

Thank you.
Does anybody know if LED can be installed behind the reflector on the trunk door , the one shown in the picture.
if yes , how do I access it? the plan is to install LED to act as if you have spoiler installed.
I am not sure what it is exactly called. I hope you get what I mean.
Thanks

yes , but can be programmed to have different effect. I liked it like this.?? so it continually lights up like that or do they stay on ??
Both sides work light Up the sameIs there a reason you have the left side lighting up before the right?
And it is only when you step on the break . Not running at all time?? so it continually lights up like that or do they stay on ??

I did it
yes, I will post steps once it is done and completedI like what you did (and had the balls to cut into the reflector). By the looks of it, the reflector is at least partially hollow and you inserted a 12 LED strip. Presumably you program the LEDs with a remote.
Do you intend to have write-up or how-to eventually?
Good job!![]()
I am not noticing itNot in the video. The left side outer LED lights first, then the right side, outer, then the next one in on the left, and so on..
I did it and it is not a doge look, check out my video. this what you see when you hit the breakI've removed that whole piece to put new LED Reverse bulbs in , dont think your project is do able , besides why try to create the Dodge look ??
you should have been here and taken my heart bit when I was cutting itI'm surprised you're the first to try this. I thought it would be a good idea as well when I heard the 2021 refresh may have something similar. Love to see it fully installed back on the car when you get a chance.
