Is it me or is my (MBP) Stinger an absolute magnet for dust/pollen? I'm going through instant detailer like crazy. Any suggestions on getting that crap not to stick shy of keeping it in a sealed museum case?
Try P&S Bead Maker, I find it helps with dust on most of the car. It's very slick, very slippery, not much of anything sticks, including dust.
I cleaned my car mid afternoon ... by dinner time its pollen city and since my color is PM (thunder grey) this is the only thing you see on the car...
have you tried it yourself ?
could I use it on top of the Magguire liquid wax you think?
I am interested in seeing if P&S Bead Maker actually does help...

Yes, it's my go to topper and drying aid. I've used it on top of waxes and ceramic sealants.
Good to hear !
so I use the Maguire liquid wax, can I just then use the P&S Beadmaker on top of it ?
It doesn't work worth a sh#t as a protectant. Has nil durability. I love the stuff, but would never use it as a stand alone sealant. Mothers CMX has lousy durability, but it is still 100x better than P&S bead maker as an example LOL. When it comes to slickness and shine though....stuff is so slick and slippery it's crazy! That's why I use it as a topper. Its cheap as well, so I use it as a drying aid, wash the car, before I dry, spray the car when wet, then dry.P&S' website calls beadmaker a protectant, not a quick detailer. It sounds like it is being used by some of you as a quick detailer?
That's what I figured you were getting at, especially when quoting the short durability. While I already have a couple shelves worth of detailing products, it's only 14 bucks for this stuff at my local detailing store, so what's another bottle? lol. I'm probably just going to apply Meguiar's quick finish to the BMW since I won't keep it beyond lease, it's not worth the time and effort to ceramic coat IMO since I don't really care about paint longevity not keeping the car long term. Maybe this P&S will be a good topper to get some nice looking results on top of the Meguiar's QF.It doesn't work worth a sh#t as a protectant. Has nil durability. The Chemical Guys Speed Wipe quick detailer advertises that it "reduces static-cling on automotive surfaces like paintwork and glass", which is pretty spot on from my experience. Plus it smells like cherries which is kinda fun.Is it me or is my (MBP) Stinger an absolute magnet for dust/pollen? I'm going through instant detailer like crazy. The easiest (and most fun) way to dust the car is a liberal application of your right foot to the floor.![]()
Agree completely. Pollen particles are actually like little pieces of sandpaper. Wipe enough when dry and you will eventually damage the finish. Pollen loves to stick to just about anything, even ceramic. Washing is always best. This is the only time of year I regret having a black vinyl wrapped roof. The rest of the silver car looks clean even when dirty. If you love you paint, regardless of what they say, don’t wipe a dusty car down with any quick detailer. Don’t ever just wipe dust off. Deal with the dust till you can actually wash the car properly.
Perversely, I always judge how clean my Silky Silver IS (not looks, at a glance) by the piano gloss black trim and the hatch window. So, in a way, I have a piano gloss black car.Agree completely. So you've never worried about the duster causing any scratches/swirls in the your paint.Perversely, I always judge how clean my Silky Silver IS (not looks, at a glance) by the piano gloss black trim and the hatch window. Just used mine today Merlin. Removed quite a bit of dust and pollen but not all.8 don’t use much pressure. I thought you wash your car every time it snows??Perversely, I always judge how clean my Silky Silver IS (not looks, at a glance) by the piano gloss black trim and the hatch window.
