Hard to keep clean?

OC irony: I saw "their" and changed it to "there". Thanks! :P:thumbup:

I'm sure you will want to fix that. Just don't double the typo by inserting an "r" in there. ;)

Washing is definitely a good workout. There are rainy times when I wash several days in a row and that's when I really notice what a workout it really is. And I'm lucky with a Silky Silver: I don't notice all the spots I miss, I'm sure of that! :p

The trick to doing this often is to make it fast. I have a half hour car wash routine worked out.
Using a car wash (the manual kind) in sweden is very expensive, i usually have to pay around $6 for 3-4 minutes fo cleaning the car with the power hose.
I have tried some indoor manual wash, that cost me almost a half gas of tank to thoroughly clean my car.
Suck not having a drive way where i can clean my car at home.

Just out of curiosity, when washing your car do you wash between the grille ? I get my finger with a micro fibre cloth and clean each one as much as I can, don't know if everyone does it or I'm being very fussy :)

Must admit, I am not as fussy as you. I would give the grill a general wipe with the microfibre and if I can see bugs in the holes, I will clean them out. Kia is killing us giving the Stinger a grill like that to clean.

Use your leaf blower after washing makes a huge difference & final cleaning is a breeze.

Yep that's called OCD:laugh:. Not a chance I'm cleaning each one individually. High pressure spray and general wipe over.

I was sitting on the ground in front of the car cleaning the grille, when my hubby came out and said " you really are a worry, you know that ? "

I would clean the grill same way as you, but my fingers let's say, are alot thicker than yours and don't fit in the holes, " That's Rude " on myself...;):rofl::laugh::rofl:

Funny the things that cross your mind. My fingers fit in there perfectly and I thought to myself it would be hard to do this if male because fingers would be too big :rofl:

Grilles are bug catchers. I look only long enough to see if a carcass attracts my attention: if I don't see anything I just wash and wipe off the shiny bits (i.e. the protruding edges) and call it good. That is a bit OC, there, Flame. ;):P But that's good: your car will always look better for a bit of OC.

Ah, I love car forums. Every time I think I'm too fussy about my car (and I probably am) I see a post like this one ^ and feel a lot better about myself!

Pfft. I just ignore all people who aren't obsessed with cars.

That is so true. I also thought I was fussy and a little OCD over my cars and my wife is always saying I am. But then you see some posts on these forums and you know there are people out there on another level of OCD, hey Flame.

P.S. I think I would be more like you Flame but things like 2 young kids. work and life in general just get in the way.

Are you speaking to me or about me ? :p:laugh:

Love having silver wax headquarter 5 minutes from home. The paint sealant is the most important base to have. The car stay so much cleaner with it. (Still like chemical guys stuff, but its harder to get here in stores.)

20191024_190744.webp This is just from hosing.
Is this due to hard water or is it something else?
