It is beyond me why manufacturers of the products they sell offer such poor support and customer service. Just so disappointing.

I bought a Thermal R$D exhaust a couple of months ago from a vendor who frequents here. I love the exhaust. I gave the vendor and the exhaust glowing praise in my reviews.

Fast forward to now, all I want to know is what diameter the outlet pipes are so I can find if some of the akropovic tips can be bought for it. I emailed Thermal 3 times and they don't respond. The phone number on their website will not go through.

I guess I have to go buy.a caliper, get under the car and measure and hope I do it right and get the right tips.

Sorry, just needed to vent. I really don't get how these people think they will get repeat business with such poor post-salpe support. Does not seem to me that this is that complicated of a question. Maybe they have so many people busting down here doors that they don't need my business. Very disappointing.

This has been a common refrain on car forums I've visited for decades. Sorry you're on the wrong end of the stick on this one this time!

Well at least I can vote with my money and take it elsewhere. I sure don't see getting an answer to a pretty simple question as being unreasonable.

Try sending a message to Thermal on here. Maybe the notification will ping his cell phone. Worth a shot.

Thanks for the suggestion! I don't see them listed in the vendor section though.

They used to post on here back in the day.

Let's see if this gets them...

@Thermal

I have had the hardest time the past week trying to get a hold of Thermal. Recently had a customer purchase an exhaust of theirs through us and I can for the life of me not get a hold of them. I cant get through on our land line but for some reason it goes through on my cell phone. I called about 7 times just yesterday trying to get through on any of their additional lines they have and nothing. Even left messages...

I inquire about buying the tips and he responds for me to tell him which model tips I want for pricing. I ask again, what diameter do I need to buy and get no answer.

It's 2.5 in on the Thermal, based on their response to me. I sent them a message on this forum and they got back in 2 days.

Crap. Posted in wrong forum!
I replied to your other post but forgot to add a bit of info...Thermal told me the exit pipe is 2.5, but on my measurement it was 2.25. I got 2in akropovic tips (due to a mixup in my order), so instead of the return hassle i'm going to just have it widened by a muffler shop and welded on.

Maybe they are closed for vacation. But I have emailed them 3 times with no response. Used their contact form on the site. Should be hard to get this basic info. Makes me worry if a warranty claim is needed. Maybe they have closed up shop.

So from your experience the 2.25 inch tips should fit?

I don't know, the mixup in my order sent me 2in tips. I haven't gotten them put on yet, but the muffler shop said they would heat and spread the exhaust tip out, slide on and then weld. But if it crimps the exit pipes, they would weld an extension on to the exit pipe for proper fit.

Khartunerz and Nick D. are absolutely stunning in this regard. So are BMS and Terry. They get my vote and my money every time.

Yeah, weirdest thing - I ran into that too about 2 years ago. Some kind of customer support line, always got busy signal with landline (VOIP, mind you), but cell phone had no issues.

I have tried on my cell phone and it is silence for a few seconds and then I get called failed notification. They also do not respond to my inquiry using the online form. I will just measure myself, I don't feel like pulling one side out so I will just get a caliper. .
