Great information! Thank you!Pulled these from the recent Consumer Report mag , pretty relevant as winter sets in with the arrival of "Northern" Stingers View attachment 1281 View attachment 1282
Yes, absolutely - you always want the performance you paid for. And safety, as best as possible, at the same time...Thanks . I chose to go with Ultra High Performance All Season tires but with some guys living in more severe winter areas True winters may be the best option , just wanted everyone to see that there is a High Performance Winter caregory as well , I believe some dealers are reco'ing the Winter VS High Performance option . Doing some additional research pending everyones particular driving styles/environments might render some new tire options for some Stinger owners . You definitely want to get 100% performance 100% of the year !
I have pirelli sottozero tires and they seem to perform very well in northern Alberta winter so far.
You realize those are run flats right ? the tire will work great in the snow but if punctured the warranty may not allow repair as dealers will argue the integrity of the tire has been compromised ....................I'm looking at the Sottozero 3 tires as well. Primarily because they're all TireRack currently has for the 19" OEM wheels. Certainly open to other (possibly more affordable) options, but not aware of any.

My experience with runflats is they cant be repaired and they are a $$ premium vs regular tires , call Tire Rack to confirm . I swapped run flats on all my previous cars to regualr tires for these reasons as well as they have very rigid sidewalls which impacts ride quality . The consumer report guide in post 1 has other options that would work on the StingerDo you mean repair of the tire? Pirelli's Road Hazard Warranty seems to address that, plus TireRack's Tire Road Hazard Protection.

What sizes are those? Also, what's a "performance tire"? I usually drive safely in winter plus 120 kmh is max in switzerland anyway, so I wouldn't need witner tires to go 270 kmh![]()
Oh i know what a winter tire is, I live in SwitzerlandI wondered specifically about "performance".
Again , if you check Tirerack they will break it down by category to help consumers figure out which type of tire suits their driving conditions and environment ( no I dont own shares in TR , but they are a solid resource for doing research on tire selection )Oh i know what a winter tire is, I live in SwitzerlandI wondered specifically about "performance".
Great find ! Bamm1 . where are you located ??If you live in North America here is a good chart to help you decide what type of tire you should purchase based on your geographic location:
