So I got some lap3 primaries cat deletes. I went to take off the passenger side first. So the 3 of the studs backed out with the nut attached to it and one actually broke one the turbo. Fml right. I have yet to take it out. Need some suggestions on taking on the broken stud. And also on taking on the driver side. Why r the studs coming out? I didn’t use any wd-40 or Pb blaster b4 I know maybe I should have. I want to be able to take out the drive side with out taking the stud.

So the broken stud is a m8 but then it gets fatter in the middle so what I did was use a m9 x1.25 thread maker so my plan is to put two nuts on there one too lock it and one to turn it out

That's the kind of stud breaking that's preferred; make sure you got penetrant and some heat before trying to back out the broken one. I'd just use a large vise grip.

As for the backed-out studs, they did that because the locking nuts gripped tighter than the flange. I'd use new studs and new nuts and lubricate the nut-end of the studs with anti-seize.
