Hi there from Mother Russia :)

We're still waiting for Stinger here and I see you've already got it in US. I will be very grateful if somebody from Stinger owners can measure exact dimension of the car's trunk with measuring tape. Especially interested in diagonal size of it from the far left corner to the near right corner inside that niche it has. Wondering if I can fit 154cm snowboard there without issues :) Thanks.

Welcome aboard, @Bobr! Thank you for signing up! There may be some solid information in the following discussion:
Junk In That Trunk

Yes, I found and checked that thread already and there's nothing new and no that info I looking for specifically.

When is the Stinger set to arrive in Russia?

Rumors say full specs will be available on Feb and first orders will be fulfilled on March.

Okay, well hopefully somebody will let us know the exact size specs of the trunk/hatch...

I don't think I've seen anyone mention the lack of a pass-thru hatch on the 60/40 seats. Not a big deal for me, but I did notice early on that it was missing, which is yet another odd design choice when you consider how many other cars have it.

Ye... I'm not quite about hatch here, just wondering if these spec's 406L of cargo space are not smaller than my current Mazda 6 438L where I can fit snowboard diagonally with some help of the muscle force without need of hatch or lowering of back seats. Atm seems as Stinger's trunk has greater perimeter despite the fact of that 406L (not sure how measured, Audi A5 has 480L by specs).

Hey, welcome to the forum.

I did not get a chance to go and measure the trunk for you yet, but I fit my snowboard (158cm) in with one of the back seat folded down. I have not tried putting a snowboard in diagonally without folding the seat yet. It doesn't look possible in my eyes, but then I didn't try.

Next time I take the Stinger to the slope, I will try to fit my snowboard in diagonally and report back here. Unless someone else gets back to you sooner of course.

Yea, please check if you remember, would be great if can check with measuring tape, from far corner to the inside of the tail niche, I think at least 154cm snowboard should fit. It fits in Mazda 6 with applying some force to fit it, i.e. without any extra space left, one of snowboard ends appears a bit between rear seats and trunk's "wall" there, other end hits the trunk plastic "limiter" and I need to bend snowboard a little for all that to fit. Very happy it fits without back seats folded, and all that still allow to use whole space of the trunk, it just divided into two diagonal spaces after that which in same time prevents some things from rolling when you drive.

I was just at the Stinger Salon at a nearby mall. The didn't have a measuring tape, but I took a rough diagonal measurement with the brochure they gave me. Left rear corner to front right corner (w/seats up) was 6.5 brochure lengths at 8.25" each, which should convert to 136.24 cm. There are some variables, such as whether you lay the board flat or on edge, which changes how closely you could snug it at either corner. I measured as if on edge, which causes some loss at the rear of the seat, since it's tilted backwards a bit, but probably gives you better fit in the rear corner than if it were lying flat.

40 inches long; about 36 inches wide at the wheel wells; about maybe 33 inches wide right behind the seat. Sorry for the imprecision, but I couldn't reach that back area easily and didn't put down the rear seat.

Above is @eljay's earlier post when she measured a demo model: 33" wide at the seats, 36" wide toward the rear, and 40" deep. A rough hypotenuse calculation gets 134~ish cm (53~ish inches), so my brochure measurement was definitely in the ballpark.

I know this doesn't suit your requirement, but maybe another approach is to just remove the cargo cover, and have the snowboard rest on the top-center of the rear seat (so it would stick through between the passengers). Of course, it would be nicer if Kia had included a ski pass-thru hatch.

Any excuse to go downstairs and spend time with my new baby--I remeasured with a metal tape, not the sewing one I used the first time. Wow, @ralzod, you're incredibly accurate with a brochure!

New measurements for future reference: 41"(104.14 cm) deep; 38" (96.52 cm) wide against backs of seats; looks like 50-1/2" (128.27 cm) wide into widest point of the wheel wells; 48" (121.92 cm) wide just behind that where the wheel well narrows lightly; just short of 54" (136 cm) diagonally.

I got my shortest board out, my favorite jib board. its 156cm.

as you can see, no chance.

also, due to the rear wheel drive shaft. sitting 2 at the back with one seat folded is not an option either.

Now we need to see some bicycle photos! With seats down, front wheel on, or must be removed? There’s a Regal video clip that shows them putting a fully assembled bike into the boot.

Btw, trunk's top-cover/roof is detachable?

Well... You started the "dog" discussion. How about a "bicycle" version now? :D

Yes. The privacy cover is removable.
I wish it was retractable , personally find it a pain when trying to load larger items
