New JB4 Stinger Dyno Results!

@Terry@BMS is there a program to graph JB4 logs quick and easily? I did a quick 3rd gear run to 140kmh log (attached) but want to get stuck into analysing my logs more often to see what's going on. Also is there a 0-100 (0-60) log feature in the app? I'm on Android and can't seem to find anything.

Cheers,

Yes use the JB4 windows interface to open them on a desktop or view in the app directly. Log looks fine but update to v8 so we have ign advance on cyl 2-6 there. :)

Cool thanks Terry. I figured out how to graph on the phone but a bit hard to see so I'll try the Windows app. I'm not sure why I haven't updated yet but I'll definitely do that tonight. I've only tried map 1 and 2 so far. I know you get these stupid questions all the time but if I'm running 98ron with intakes and exhaust, could I run map 3 (or 5 occasionally) without much trouble?

Cheers,

You'd want to look at the logs but likely map3 will work, map5 probably will need more octane for optimal performance.

So at that kind of performance boost are you at all worried about the other parts of the car not holding to the added stress of the engine? That's an amazing amount of horse power gains. Can suspension and transmission take that kind of abuse?

I would be a little worried about the torque going to the front wheels. I know Ford Performance had limitation issues for tuning the RS AWD because of this. The drive axels on the front don't take kindly to a lot of low end torque like RWD.

Been running map 3 as daily without any real world issues yet. Attached is my first 0-100km log in map 3 (not sure what I'd be looking for anyway). Haven't had a chance to log 1/4 mile yet but feels good so far.

Short run but seems fine to me!

Any other mods? What type of fuel?

98 premium which is 93 on your side of the globe. Xforce Varex, KN Typhoon intakes, JB4 and some GFB Deceptor Pro 2 BOV's which have no effect on performance but compliment the intake noise nicely. Other unrelated mods are M580 wheels and Eibach springs (Sway Bars on order) and catch cans.

I looked at my logs and I noticed that none of my logs have the details that I've seen in everyone else's logs (MPH, IGN, etc). I'm assuming that this might be due to a problem with my OBDII connection. I've tried reconnecting it, is there something else that should be done? Also I'm assuming this would change my dyno numbers. (442 whp with intake and exhaust). I attached a random log of this anomaly.

I later read on the n54tech forum that if you run into this issue you should first try cleaning / reseating your connections and if that doesn't work contact support, so that's the road I have taken.

Yes contact support they will help you out.

If you keep trouble shooting and the issue does not get fixed then you might need a new OBD connector for the JB4.

Make sure to clean it and that the wire is not damaged. Make sure that is connected properly to the JB4 and to the OBD port.

How long do these plugs last gapped to 0.022? Could this be in a daily driver?

I've had my HKS at that gap with the JB4 for a good 15k. I'm sure the Denso's would last the same as well. I am planning to change mine every 20k, I am certain it will last a lot more but I just want to keep it in peak performance and I am going with the Denso's this time, much cheaper than the HKS.

Could you run map 1 on stock plugs for a while with no issues or do you have to gap the plugs / swap to colder plugs?

Why are we seeing torque drop over 4500rpm? I'm hearing no need for catbacks, also heard that downpipes are tiny, is that an airflow restriction? I would expect to see it stay flatish for another 1500 rpm...
