I saw the Autoline video this refers to online, and was floored by the K900 repair cost estimate for a front corner hit. Stingers have got a fair complement of sensors and such as well ...

Alstyne pointed out that the K900 comes with a ton of sensors and cameras all around its front and corners. That means even a minor “left front corner hit” could result in a jaw-dropping $34,000 repair bill. That’s compared to a current industry average of $8,000.

Probably is due to all the high tech parts the K900 has, these are not your souls the K900 is supposed to be Kia's ultra lux flagship sedan.

This was posted and discussed a few months back. Modern cars are getting more and more expensive to repair, Hyundai/KIA develops a lot of their systems in house which can costs a lot once newly implemented but will cost less over time.

Does the reduction in accidents balance the insurance payout costs? Because if this increase in repair gets reflected in insurance premiums, for us "peasants" it will be back to the old school sensorless ride.
