I know there's at least one other thread devoted to this very topic: because I started it in [August] last year. And here it is: What name have you given your Stinger? But, here goes:
NAV. Her name is NAV, because she led me to my playground in Oregon of a summer afternoon. Actually, she misled me from my intended route, by virtue of the fact that the real world did not match the displayed interchange graphics on the media screen, so I lost my freeway and picked up another, which resulted in my traversing the state via highways instead of freeway. And that resulted in my opportunity to go fast: the highway up ahead was regulating traffic because of construction, and I had the highway (out in the middle of nowhere) all to myself for over half an hour.

How appropriate. Actually, "Stinger" is even more directly applicable to my situation. This car "stung" me awake: to the enjoyment of a material thing again. I haven't been into a new interest in years on years. This car is the first time in my life that I've gotten involved in cars deeper than the superficial. I'm not a "car guy". But the Stinger has made me as close to one as I am likely to get.
