Kia Stinger Rear Hatch Noise Survey

Some owners have reported a noise from the rear hatch on bumps. How common is this?
I propose a survey about this, with the following questions:

Stinger model-
Hatch noise- yes/no
If yes- has your dealer worked on it? yes/no
If worked on- is the noise fixed? yes/no

No rattling from mine yet. Only driven about 50 or so miles, but I've specifically been keeping an ear open for it after reading so much about it on here. They either fixed it during prep yesterday, or mine just doesn't have that issue.

I do appear to be having the under-seat sub-woofer issue though...

I just added a poll to this discussion - in essence making it a survey... The survey is multiple choice. This is the first time I've used this feature so let's see how it works out. I can add more options if need be.

Do we want to ask if the survey taker has a GT or non-GT? Does that matter? Let me know. If so I'll add it...

I got a copy of the TCB. At my dealer they said that this was a parts problem at the factory. Only a limited number of cars got the wrong part, and Kia knows the VIN numbers of all the cars that got them, so you can check your VIN with your service department. Mine wasn't one of them, and I've heard nothing in the 10 miles I've driven so far.

The model may be relevant. The noise may be related to roof/body rigidity, which could vary by model and presence of sunroof.

Creaking sounds are the usual result of torsional rigidity issues , pretty sure this is a tailgate/hatch weight/seal issue

No rattle but there is a bulletin out at dealerships now. They said the fix takes about an hour and they have the kit already in inventory. I haven’t heard the rattle personally but I will be taking it in tomorrow to be addressed.

I have not noticed it - but the two car seats I have installed in the back seat rattle quite a bit so I might not hear it

But I never really noticed until AFTER the 'kit' was installed. There's a specific bump right in front of the dealership, this weekend (barring anything family related, natural disaster, or life altering event, I will drive them over that bump to show them what it sounds like.
