Guys / Gals,

Am new to the forums and just picked up a Ceramic White 2019 GT1. Needed to get some advice from the experts on percentage of tint that would look good on the car. In NC legal is 50% on the front windows but i dont care about legal. I was thinking of 20% of the back and 35% on the front.

Any ideas.

N.C. is 35% on all car windows (allowed to 32% total light transmission).

20% is allowed on back windows on SUV’s and Trucks. Tinting 35% over the 70% yields ~30-28 on a tint meter.

I'm also in NC with Ceramic Silver. Mine is 20% ceramic tint.

Ceramic is more, blocks heat better and tends to “look darker” than it measures

Damn! That looks really good. Any side shots? Where is everyone in NC? I am in CLT

I'm in Cary/Morrisville area.

In certain light it can look pretty dark. Here's a good shot of how light it can look at times.

Thats really the perfect look! It looks like you got yours lowered? Did you upgrade from the 19" tires and what wheels?

Pop the sunroof if you are in the night and looks lighter, too.

Yep, lowered and on 20" Vertinis.

How much was it to lower the car? I’m also in the market for tint and thinking of doing 30-35 .. 20 seems way too dark , had it on one of my older cars and at night it sucked .. stingers field of view is worse as well

I say 20% all around ceramic should do the trick.

With the ceramic tint, to me anyways, it’s not as hard to see out of as my last one with 20%.... I know it sounds crazy but looking out it appears closer to 30%.

I did XPEL prime XR black 45 (ceramic tint). It ended up at 38% (legal is above 32). May be you can do 40 (if available in your choice of tint). I paid $350.
