Quick tip for aligning badges

A quick and easy way to apply any kind of decal or badge is to position the item, then use low-grip painters tape to make one or more "hinges", then simply lift it up and remove the backing and fold it back into place.

I only used one piece of wide tape for this one as it's hard to mess this up, but if you had a larger piece or wanted to make it fool-proof, you could use two pieces of tape in a "V" to really keep it straight. The side pieces were put on before removing the oval KIA badge, just to help center this one. Ended up being redundant, because there are plenty of cues to the center of the vehicle nearby.

This is a very handy technique for applying vinyl decals to anything, if precise position matters.
 
Didn't your front badge come with the posts that automatically align it as you literally can't install it crooked?
