Eibach springs and sways

I've had the Eibach sways front a back installed for about two weeks, stock springs. I'd say the biggest thing I notice is that when it feels like the my rear starts to slide, it cleans up much quicker. I'm not sure if that makes sense. Its feels tighter, which is what I was expecting. So, they are working for me.

Has it helped reduce creaking when entering driveways etc? What stiffness are you on?

I have an AWD, lowered Eibach springs with both front and back sways installed (both on soft settings), and I cannot be happier with all installed. The car rides comfortably yet dialed in. Concerning ride height? ... no problems with clearance over speed bumps or any entry to privately owned locations. I also had worries about scraping the front with the lowering springs, but have not scraped once, even with the M&S front splitter installed, angling slighly upon entrance. With it lowered now, pulling up too far and hitting front curbs are a thing of the past. My parking sensor picks up anything that would damage my front end while parking now. Sensors did not do this prior to lowering. Also, the performance of my springs greatly exceeds the aesthetic value, even though I love both.

For me, with just the front sway, my creaking increased significantly. I hear it more on bump roads more now.

Maybe installing just the front bar increases unproportional body flex to the frame, thus causing creaking. Just a thought. I have had zero problems with creaking noises.

Another reason I don't want to do that either. If they have a spring that does a small drop but makes the handling better for the AWD car, I would look into it.
I want the same too. Do you think some company will develop such springs?
In the US, do you have the choice between Eibach US springs and German springs?
In Korea since its imported we can chose, Eibach springs from the US market or german market.
The US springs are said to be more comfy but drop lower and the German springs are stiffer but drop less than US ones. (I need to double check this but one reseller says 3cm drop for the US version vs. 2cm for the GER version)

I had issues before the sways as well. Just amplified now. I'm not surprised thinking how sways work. But my driveway and road are a tortue test. I think adding rear sways will make it worse but also have bracing ordered.

Has anybody done the install on the AWD themselves? I've heard it's a little more involved than the RWD due to the drivetrain! I'm not scared to do it, but it it's a total pain I'll just pay someone!

The AWD GT2 looks like a Group B rally car in stock form...probably would make a good one too!

I'm on the stiffest setting. I figured that would tighten things up a ton and possibly create the creaking. It has to a point, but not to a point that bothers me. Actually, when I first got them I thought the stiffest setting was the best way to go and then I started reading more and it seems the softer setting might be better overall. I talked to the guy that installed them a day after and he said to give it a little bit so that I could get a feel for it. I'm pretty good for now. I might try the softer setting down the road just to try it out. But overall I'm happy.

I would try the European version cause I don't want to lower it drastically. I hope they do have an AWD specific setup not just standard ones that would drop the car too much.

For those of you that have fitted or going to fit the Eibach front & rear sway bars what setting did you or are you going to select.
a) Softest Setting
b) Firmest Setting

I've gone with the firmest setting, but I'm not sure it's the best. I may try softest setting to compare.

Thanks for your reply @ScottM, after speaking with the Eibach guy here in Sydney, I’m going the soft setting first, can always change it, that’s the beauty of theses sway bars.

Nice! Waiting to hear your experience with them. Looking to add them to mine as well.

Thanks, I will post my thoughts/views once installed & I have tested them out on normal day to day driving conditions.

Ok im going to retract something i said earlier in the thread. I said the rear of the car had decreased wallowing dramatically with the inclusion of the eibach springs. Obviously i hadn't tested that theory properley. Yesterday took the vehicle through some out of town bends and hills, under moderate exelleration on cornering that waggle and dipping sensation was most defintely there. Springs have been on a month. Might have to invest in the rear sway bar. Foot note. Most evident wallow on accelleration up inclines with cornering. Front: No issues to note.
