Hey All,

I want to finally change out my hood and trunk emblems. I know i seen the video on emblem replacement, but i am very concerned about the pain issues many have seen.

Any tips from people with the ceramic silver? I will be going with the Kia Lexus Emblem in black carbon fiber and the large stinger trunk emblem.

Along with a few others here, I recommend, if you are leary in the least ( :D ), get the pros to do it. They will back up their work and fix anything that goes wrong on site.

Im not worried about performing the work im worried about the paint holding up under the badge lol. I wonder if it took it to a shop and the pulled up the badge with issues to the paint would they blame kias paint or just fix it themselves.

You ask them first. Go from there. "We" are intimately conversant with the Stinger's paint. Most people don't even know about this car still. And even dealerships haven't heard about the paint issues. (I was the informant for Jerry Seiner, or at least my sales rep; he hadn't heard anything until a month or so ago when I told him.) I doubt that anyone would expect the paint to come off. So ask if that happens what you can expect from them.

Can't tell you anything about the paint issues, but I can tell you that we carry the Authentic S. Korean 3.0K Emblems manufactured in Korea, not the replica versions cheaply being replicated out of China for a fraction of the cost. You can check out the ones we sell on our site below:

Kia Stinger 3.0 K Emblem Sets "Black Edition" - K8 Stinger Store

or

Kia Stinger 3.0 K Emblem Sets "Chrome Edition" - K8 Stinger Store

We offer them in 5 different color options, and 2 different styles. Let us know if you have any questions about them.

Awesome, happy to hear that!

Wow, yeah that is ridiculous pricing. You should be looking at no more than 1 hour for labor to do the install.

Most places here in CA charge $75-$100 an hour for labor.

Just take it slow and easy.. When you get aggressive or impatient is when you hurt the car..
