X-pipe or Y-pipe?

So i recently just got a custom 2.5 x pipe on my Kia Stinger GT but I'm just wondering, has anyone here ever done a Y-pipe setup on the mid pipes? Because I'd try it but I just don't know how it would sound like or if it would mess with the airflow of the gas from the engine

Johnny Tig down in Aus has a setup like that - going to a single, and huge (4"?) exhaust. I think they posted some clips.
Certainly a different way of doing things!
