What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

You might be hard pressed to get one at this point. I had been pressing my dealership since I first read about it back in December. I knew about the car before they did.

I've seen a couple of the Ascot Green ones listed at dealers. Just based off of the MSRP, this is one at Keffer Kia. If I could get enough out of trading in my current GT1, I'd be there this weekend.

I'm not sure if that's a Tribute, though, after looking through the specs. It doesn't particularly say anywhere that it is. Tribute will have terracotta seats, alcantara head liner, premium gloss wheels, gloss black brake calipers, carbon fiber trim.. I don't see any of that. They made other Stingers than the Tribute in ascot green and that could be one.

If you build an ascot green AWD tribute on the Kia website, and add in floor mats, you get $56940, the price that they show lined out. Without talking to them, its about as close as you can get.

It IS a nice color. I think that's the only color I've never actually seen in person.

Also if you look up on the Kia inventory site, plugin 28117 as the zip and filter it so it shows the tribute edition, then look up the VIN....that VIN number shows it's a tribute edition.

why can't the dealer show a picture of the tribute? lazy. that would turn me off right there.

The Ascot green is weird. When I saw it at the dealership, the sun was out, looked like it had a blue hue to it. It's definitely not like any other green that you'll see. Kinda reminds me of our 75th anniversary Jeep Grand Cherokee. That green is a one year only color and looks very different than most greens you'll see as well.

I wonder why they chose the matte grey finish and ascot green for the tribute car. Why not do 2 colors that would be exclusive to the tribute?

Thats why I specifically chose the matte grey. For one because I think matte paint looks super unique, but also because I, too, didn't understand why they would make the tribute in the same green color as other cars. Makes no sense to me.

wish I had thought of this years ago. it will take a few years but these two dawn viburnum shrubs will join with the original one that is mature - out of sight to the right of the picture. they get somewhere between eight and ten feet high, and the mature one is covering the nose of my stinger with shade every morning. the morning sun strikes down on the entire left side behind the driver. the two added shrubs will eventually make a wall of shade year-round. heck, by then I'll either be dead or probably into a new car. anyway, whatever car is parked on the east side of our carport will no longer be getting bleached by daily exposure to the sun.

My rear sway bar end links started to make some noise, so I figured it was a good time for an upgrade on all four corners. I purchased a full set of the Whiteline end links and over this past weekend I started with the front driver side link. The OEM link came out fine, but the female end of the Whiteline hex bolt/stud stripped while tightening the nuts down pretty snug.

These were not yet to the minimum torque spec, so I couldn’t just leave them on and hope they last for years. Since they were still too ‘loose’ I had to painstakingly hammer in a larger star bit socket into where the hex bit socket is supposed to go. Only way I could get enough grip to slowly turn the nut and get the damaged link off. The star bit socket would slip/turn/fall out, then I had to re-hammer again and again. I didn’t even want to try the passenger side or the rear’s if this is what was going to happen.

I used the exact sizes required: HW6 hex bit socket and 19mm wrench/socket, with no play. Fit into the stud/bolt like a glove, and over the nut perfectly. I was pretty pissed, as you can imagine, so I am trying to return these as faulty product (we’ll see how that goes). I already ordered a new set of OEM end links that should be delivered today.

Anyone else run into a similar situation with these? The metal on the Whiteline end links bolts/studs seem to be really soft and stripped easily. And what about those SuperPro adjustable end links...anyone have better luck with those?

Ugh....thats sux man! I got lucky I guess. Hopefully they swap them out.

I've had mine on and off several times and never stripped out on me or had any issues. Just have to make sure they're really tight or you will get a little popping noise

Had my infotainment screen replaced today. Got to hang out at the dealership for 1.5 hrs, awesomeness! Free donuts and HGTV ,dont be jealous. My extended warranty covered it, minus 50 bucks so thats a big plus. Right side of the original had started to delaminate under the face if that makes any sense.
