I just did my side vents too. I used gloss black spray paint. it's decent, but definitely not piano black. It's not eye catching. My door trim was already painted.

What did you use?

Here's a pic of mine:

Yours looks great!

I used Plasti Dip matte black spray with can-gun.

Did you remove the door trim to paint? The hatch trim was easy to remove haven't tried the door trim yet as it still have the shipping tape over it haha.

Edit: I always forget to reply/quote...

Did you remove the mirror glass or just move it out of the way ?

I detached the mirror to access the two screws holding the mirror cap on to remove it and paint it that way.

Yes. Remove the door trim. Just kind of unhook the end of the metal piece from
The rubber, then pull it off. It’s really just sandwiched in there and comes out very easy.

By the way, the red mirror caps are OEM, and come painted, from Tuscani Customs. Not very expensive. They have other colors like black too.

My point above (if not obvious), is to try to attract minimal LEO attention. This car already looks different than most others on the road, not to mention the goofy colors (like ceramic silver or the bright orange). So try to remain as inconspicuous as possible if engaging in hooliganism.

Yes, totally understood that. I was more
Pointing out the mirrors for the other guys who were painting stuff. No worries. I actually live in a small town too, I’ve never seen a white stinger around except maybe once. My red mirrors are definitely easy to spot.

^^Ironically, my last speeding ticket was in swanson co, NC, about 3 months after getting my G back in 2012. Cost a good arm and a leg to get out of it without points (as an out of state driver).

How did the officer know i was out of state... front plate... Is 16 over really speeding......

In the Commiewealth of Virginia anything over 80 or 20 over limit is reckless driving. So if it was a 65 limit you’d be boned.

@CeramicGT001 Mine is ceramic silver too. I still think it's an unusual color. I'd gladly get the car in gunmetal silver/charcoal like my G was (KAD color code).

What I mean by unusual is yet to be defined. We'll see how many tickets I get while owning this car.

I've only been through VA a handful of times, mostly the far far north section where it interacts with WV and MD. Had to pull over and hide the radar detector off the bike before entering the state.

OTOH I've been on roads in the SW where a 2 lane country backroad has a 65 mph speed limit. Let me find the pic.

Beer or mountains? hmm...

Any tips on removing the mirror glass? Tools, location to pry or whatever? I tried recently to use a suction cup thing to pull mine out and that didn't work.

I used one of these on the furthest part out of the mirror. Required a little bit of force and thankfully didn't fly out and smack into the door window.
