My buddy has one of those really good scan tools that are used for CPO inspections. It can read current DTCs as well as any past and even cleared DTCs.
Is there anything I should be looking for to determine if the car has had a JB4 or has been pushed harder than normal?
He said he scanned the car and nothing came up at all, which is rare (for what he states). Is there a way to completely clear out all DTCs that would now not show up on the scanner? Ie. could they have used an Ek1 to flash it back to stock? I would think this would still hold the codes in memory.
Just trying to be as meticulous as possible with my first ever used car purchase.
