Weight confusion

Forgot to mention that to correct a mistake like this, a TX owner would filled out the same 130U title application, then check "Vehicle Description" under "Corrected Title or Registration".

I would think NY DMV has a similar process to do the same.

I went to DMV and they found this to be an unusual case. They told me that if I get the car weighed at a CAT scale ($14), I can bring the slip and the title in and they would make the correction for me. Then I can fill out some other form to request a refund for the overpayment on registration (about $26). Lots of work for a $12 gain. They told me I should go with low fuel in the tank.
