Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but I'm curious about the battery box in the Stinger. This is the first car I've had where the battery is in the back of the car.

Why are there two capped off circular openings in the bottom of the box as seen underneath the car? Are they vents or something else? And why does the box have rubberized weatherproofing applied to it?

There are probably obvious answers that I'm missing, but they're not coming to mind...

those are drain plugs. in case things get messy inside the box. the weatherproofing is for sound reduction.

the battery is ventilated via a small tube connected to the top of the battery that vents to the outside of the car.

yeah, drains. obviously the big one is to be popped out if there is copious liquid in the bottom of the box, then put back in. the smaller extended one is for smacking off if you crunch it on a speed bump or curb. mine is replaced by a proper sized rubber grommet like the bigger one.
