USB relocation.

So, I am thinking of trying something, but I have no idea what I am doing.

What I would like to do is re-route the current USB input from the bottom of the dash, to inside the centre console. I want to have a AAwireless dongle hidden in there (or the glove box). Then run a standard 12v charge-only USB plug to the OEM location. Has anyone tried this or something similar? I'm not sure what the back of the USB plug looks like, if it can be disconnected or spliced. Thanks!

If you are doing wireless AA, you don't need the data of the front USB, only power.... so I would use the rear USB, or just tap 12VDC power from the rear power port under the centre console add a 12VDC USB port and save yourself a ton of work....
