I want to start my story by saying I've been wanting the Kia Stinger GT since I saw the first concept car of it! When I heard that it would finally be in production I was super hype. As many I did my research and spent too many man hours on this forum (My fiancé would say I did lol)

Anyway, the day came I got my finances together and decided I would choose the GT base model. One problem…They only came in micro-blue in NC (and most of the Southeast) I went to dealership after dealership, I called other states, I was on the internet scouring for another color..and to no avail..I was duped by 2 different Charlotte dealers who did a bait and switch and brought me in to try to upscale me to a GT1 or GT2. I already made up my mind I could afford a GT base model..now it came down to one thing…ANOTHER COLOR!

My first choice was Panthera Metal…that color is awesome..but no one had on this side of the earth…So I did some soul searching and decided I wouldn't settle..I begin to call around trying to reach Kia Corporate but that lead me no where…finally I decided to use the power of social media..I contacted @KiaMotorUSA on Instagram and was introduced to 'The Kia Social Team'. These great individuals
took my information and gave a report of my troubles of finding a simple color other than micro-blue for a Kia Stinger GT. It's been months at this point before contacting them and I was feeling like giving up.

One day I get a notification from Instagram. The Kia Social Team responded and said They have contacted Kia Corporate and they will be in contact with a rep in my region. 2 days later Union County Kia, who was already working hard trying to find me my car, called me and stated Kia Corporate WILL deliver on my wish and get me a black Kia Stinger GT (Mar 21st).
On March 25 I got word that they special ordered me a Black on Black Kia Stinger GT and it will be here on April 7th.

Even better my rep Don Flint sent me a picture on April 2nd and said…YOUR CAR IS HERE!!!
Union County KIA not only delivered..they made me the happiest car customer in the world!!

If you are looking for the best experience in buying a KIA STINGER GT…drive to Monroe, NC and speak with Don Flint (looks just like Ric Flair) and work with Michael Reed, sales Manager!

Sorry for the long story! but if you made it to the End…THANKS for letting me express my Gratitude to the HIVE who has kept me up many nights waiting for this very moment!20180402_224204.webp20180402_224318.webp20180403_124034.webp

I've said it before, but there are no "bad" colors for Stingers. I was open to several colors, but black was not one of them because my wife drives the car and it's my job to keep it clean and shiny -- a tough and full time job with black or Panthera. If it was my car, I might consider black, but it so HOT in the summer if you have to leave it outside. My GTO is bright blue metallic, so that was a possibility but not top choice. HiChroma Red won the race and is not as difficult to find so I went with that.

But it's the car, not the color. Congratulations! You'll love it.

Thank you very much for the review! And I'm so glad to hear things worked out for you in the end... :)

I can confirm the positive experience. Salesman was Vic and sales manager Mike. Best experience I had had. $7k off MSRP for a 2019 GT1.
