Good morning guys I know I’m going to get a lot of hate for this, so here I go. Yesterday I installed my new Injen Cold Air Intake. I thought everything was going perfect. I tightened everything up, braced everything and started the car up. As soon as I started the car up I heard the Turbo make an extremely loud noise almost like there was a leak going on. I didn’t think anything of it, I thought the ECU was just tuning itself. After about 2 minutes I got a check engine light and the car had ZERO boost (even though I heard the BOV exhaust air?). I reset my ECU and retightened everything up and the check engine light came off and on again. I’m reluctant to take it to the Kia dealership before I try and figure out the issue. Any idea what this could be? I’m also running the RaceChip on it with Gapped spark plugs as well (no modifications done to my exhaust system yet).

To simplify it: I put a cold air intake and now turbos sound like crap on start up and eventually stop running.

Try checking Every hose attachment again. Sounds like your car put it in limp mode. Happened to me once and all it turned out to be was a lose hose. Sharing a link to a video of the issue would be better, but startup will be louder after putting intakes in.
I know you checked but check the hoses again. Unplug the battery for 30min-2hrs and just let your car sit overnight. Try again in the morning.
Ive heard of chips causing CE lights to trigger but this sounds like something else. Or could be 2 different issues. Good luck. Try uploading a vid to Youtube, you can have it unlisted and just post the link here if you dont want it public.
