The Next-Generation Kia Stinger Could Be In Trouble

Ah, you got to this first; but I saw the other thread, today's, first. Same article. Will there even be a new Stinger?? I'll say the same thing here:

The K900 is a dog day sales keeper. Why? I think that there are car enthusiasts at Kia; or else they would not have hired Biermann, et al. away from the "Germans"; to create the Stinger literally from the ground up, dream, concept to production reality. It makes no sense in this crossover, SUV mad world. But Kia did it anyway. And they (H/K/G group) have already pushed the G80 another bomb seller, so they're not getting rid of that. The Stinger is no G70, K900, G80 competitor: it is uniquely attractive to car enthusiasts, and was intended to be from the beginning: made by car enthusiasts.

^ The K9/K900 sells about 3-4x as well as the Stinger in Korea and the G80 and G90 are big sellers (and profit drivers) in Korea.

Also helps that it shares its platform w/ the G90.

W/ the new G80, expect it to outsell the smaller G70 (which has never come close to the sales volume of the Genesis sedan/G80 at its height).

If Genesis gets rid of a sedan, it would be the G70.
