I am not talking about the 'odd feeling' you get when buying sushi at a gas station, but a different kind of odd feeling...

So I drove my new Stinger for 3 days. Then, I jumped back into my original car, the Optima that now belongs to the wife...

And it feels... totally weird, just after 3 days! It's hard to explain, as if sitting in the Optima was instantly 'foreign' to me, even though I drove that car for over 7 years!

In the past, I've always traded away my previous ride, so I've never experienced this sensation before. This time, the wife wanted me to trade her car so she could get the Optima.

Maybe I just need some more coffee.

It was amazing how swiftly I fitted myself to this car. Everything about it feels natural and right. How I feel driving something else has come up but once: I drove my wife's '06 Fusion briefly for some reason I cannot now remember. I do remember expecting to feel "weird", and so I wasn't caught by it. I adapt to whatever I am driving at the time. But nothing in my experience compares to the Stinger.

I can attest to that feeling as well however, my Optima Hybrid felt more spritly than the Stinger. Granted when both are in sport mode, when given the beans the Stinger will hit 80 much faster than the Optima would. Just doesn’t feel that way though. Plus, i’ve lowered the hybrid so it corners better now. It didn’t lean too much to begin with so lowering it just made it better. Still like driving that car.
