What's not to like about the telluride imposing design luxurious interior huge inner space, is she brand conscious? When people say volvo i think granny's car.

Your wife is logical! My wife said a Tahoe is too big, the Tucson is too small, but the Telluride is just right. ‍:cautious:

I was looking at a dark green with black trim, I like them better than the Tahoe

I had a 2006 Nissan Titan Truck 200k+ miles. Over the past two years I've been saving and looking at what my next vehicle would be. Long story short on my search, I test drove a Telluride before I test drove the Stinger. The Telluride seats did not feel comfortable to me and I like to take long road trips I couldn't see myself sitting in it for long periods of time and being comfortable. I sat in the stinger and the seat gave me a hug and felt fantastic. The sales guy thought I was nuts.

    I could do without the "T E L L U R I D E" across the hood. I'm not a badge remover, but that would be my first mod: a pristine hood.

I wouldn't be taking long road trips in the SUV. Or if I did take a longish trip now and again, it would be taking in off road places along the way, i.e. road trip in short hops.

I didn't think I would like it but I do. Since it's my wife's ride, I limit my involvement to functional mods (i.e., replacing the reverse and license plate incandescent bulbs with LEDs).

My attitude toward a "Telly" is totally different from that toward the Stinger. Color doesn't matter, and I'd not be washing it every time it gets spots. I'd even take it in Le Mans Pink. (last pick, though: pink with enough black in it is still pink, after all).

We went and test drove an S model and the wife loved it. We placed an order for an SX prestige, moss/black... Going to trade in the Sorento on it. It is a really nice vehicle.

Save for the Ford Explorer, it is an on par or slightly better performer than its competitors.

    The Telluride makes 291hp - 262lb/ft

    Mazda CX-9, 227hp - 310lb/ft
    Honda Pilot, 280hp - 262lb/ft
    Toyota Highlander, 295hp - 263lb/ft
    Subaru Ascent, 260hp - 277lb/ft
    Volkswagen Atlas, 235-276hp - 258-266lb/ft
    Ford Explorer, 300-400hp - 310-415lb/ft

Yes, in v8 guise. The v6, which accounts for over half of Durango sales, is 293hp - 260lb/ft., right in line with the Telluride.
