So I recently purchased a Kia Stinger GT AWD in Canada for close to the 44,195 cad msrp. A family friend visiting from the Nederlands loved the car so he looked it up on the Nederlands Kia website only to find that the comparable Stinger model there has an msrp of 99,995 euro, or 154,000cad funds...thats truely insane. Either people in Canada are getting an insane deal on these cars or people in Holland are getting ripped off! I realise a number of factors are at play when it comes to pricing in each country but the idea that you can purchase almost 4 of the same models here for the price of 1 there is shocking.

Taxes on emissions and imports is what raises prices on cars in that part of the world. Hence why most choose the smaller engine.

Countries pushing for less emission and more EVs are taxing cars with larger engines way more than those with smaller units or hybrids and EV. The 3.3T isn’t an economical engine by any stretch so that’s part of the reason it’s cost more there as well as other places.
