So I had the inevitable chrome discoloration on the window trim. I polished it out but the result left the trim lighter in colour. Not regular silver chrome, but definitely lighter than it originally was. I was toying with the idea of having the trim wrapped. I got quotes between $200 and $300 CAD. I was going to do it myself to see if I liked the look. I was going to buy regular car wrap but came across this. I got the 15mm and it is the exact same width of the window trim. Installed it in less than 10 minutes. The hatch trim is a little wider half way down and then narrows, so it wasn't perfect, but around the windows is. Not sure how it will hold up, if it does great, it cost me less than $9 CAD. If it doesn't then I will probably get it wrapped since I like the look.

Tint the car bro. The trim problems are the plastic colored ones on the roof. I never heard of the chrome discoloring. Is that even possible?

Really? Tons of threads about it like this. There are others, as well as on the G70/GV70 forums and G80 forums (sport trim). Even the Kia Telluride Nightfall Edition has the issue of the dark tint on the window trim eventually deteriorating.

the drip rails that go to hell are not plastic, but coated and painted steel. when I finally attend to the micro blue drip rails getting that 'snake skin' look, it will either be to strip them down to the metal and clear coat them, or have them sprayed gloss black to match the other gloss black trim throughout the car.

as for the window chrome trim, the answer is elbow grease and polishing or rubbing compound.
