Sunset Yellow repaint time frame.

dropped my Sunset Yellow GT off on August 15th, and they are STILL stripping it. I’m guessing that’s the longest process? How long should it take once the stripping is done to paint and let the paint set? Its taking longer than expected, they said 3 weeks tops, it’s now past 3 weeks and it’s not even fully stripped yet. What has other people’s experience been with the repaint?

I’ve sent in all of the paperwork for the re-purchase option. I’m hoping I get a good enough chunk of change and get trade in cash, since I traded in for the stinger, to get into a ceramic silver GT2 with a red interior for the same or less than the Yellow GT.

my dealer told me 2 weeks to complete but i have yet to take the repaint option yet. waiting on buy back docs from Kia HQ at the moment. Want all the info before i make a final decision.

Huh. My impression was that the repaint is happening no matter what. My case manager and others have all my re-purchase info, but won’t push it through until after the repaint is done. So I can see the car, then get the re-purchase details, then make a decision.

I guess you might as well drop it off for the repaint because you’re still going to get the re-purchase option either way.
