Summer set up

Questions for everyone still use original setting from the factory
I have two rims crack in both rear in less than a month on my winter , I believe they are 19" 255/35r19 same as summer, And I changed for 18" 225/45r18 for all of them, the ride is more comfort
Just anyone have problems on their factory set up when using 19" 255/35r18? I live in Edmonton Alberta Canada the road never good
