Stuck rear cv axel in the Stinger

Are there any tips to removing the rear cv axel? It just feels like there is something holding it in. The axle is broken so im thinking as i pull it all it is doing is stretching the rubber boot, sucker just doesnt want to budge.

ANy help appreciated.
