I just hit 70,000 miles on my 2020 Kia Stinger GT and the rider is stiffer than normal. KIA dealership says the front struts are "frozen" and not absorbing bumps completely, although there is some movement in the strut. Dealership says swelling of an internal strut bushing is the issue. Dealer recommends complete replacement of both front struts with a job cost of $2,000+. Anyone have strut failure at 70,000 miles? I'm getting a second opinion from an independent mechanic as well. Any feedback is appreciated.

assuming they are faulty, i'd get some struts secondhand from someone in the classifieds that has upgraded and get them installed somewhere else or do it yourself.

Thanks for the 411. I have an independent mechanic whose taking a look tomorrow.
