Stock staggered tire set up with wheels

I had to buy tires on the stock staggered set up, so extreme contacts at 225 and 255. Can I run a 19x8.5 wheel all around with lowering springs? I don't know much about suspension but I've seen some say the tire will stretch too much compared to some ppl saying it will be fine. I have no idea now lol

Each tire manufacturer rates each tire size & model with a recommended rim width range, so you need to check the EXACT model of tire for the suggested rim widths.
225 on 8.5" rims is at the limit of what is usually acceptable. A general reference chart for APPROXIMATE tire and rim width matching:

I'm currently running 20x9 squared 255/35r20 on a lowered suspension with no issues.
